Florida fires are getting worse since the winds have changed and now blowing a little worse. The governor has declared the county in which I live an emergency area and over 17,000 acres have burned and more will burn before this is over. Please everyone keeps us in your prayers and thoughts................... as people are loosing everything, homes, cars, clothes and nothing to return too.

Well thank God it is Friday and the end of another work week. WOOHOO! I am going to our annual fair tonight and going to get to see Molly Hatchett and Blackfoot live in concert. It is going to be a rockin' good time.

Well I had some fun last night. I had a friend of mine call me late yesterday afternoon and asked if I wanted to go see Rush perform last night in Orlando. Well, I said "Hell Yea". What a great show from start to finish. The vocal mix was off at the beggining of the night but about 4 songs into the show, when they started to play Mission, it was on. The music was big and so many pyro's, lasers and fog that it was incredible. The big giant video screens were playing alot of different geometrical stuff which was really cool. My friend had some really good seats as you will see from my photos that I took. Overall a great 3 set, from one of my favorite old school bands from the 70's. Man, another flashback to my high school days.

Good morning to everyone here at DA and especially to all my friends and watchers. I hope everyone had a great evening and night.

Last night the space shuttle came back from their mission and since I live right on the space coast here in Florida, I had forgot the landing was going to be at night. Well, I was sitting watching The Moment Of Truth on FOX and OMG at 8:35pm EDT the two loudest sonic booms hit when the shuttle breaks the atmosphere and scared the crap out of me and the dog. I swear it sounded like was right over my house. Shook the walls and the lights hanging from the ceiling were swinging very gently. I could not believe how loud it was last night. Wish i could have been out at the Space Center to get some photos of it landing. Maybe my friend was there and got some really cool night shots of the landing. If he did and he sends them to me, I will post them here in my gallery.

Medical update:

Went to the doctor Wednesday afternoon to get my lab results and they were good but not great. So far this is what I am dealing with now.
1. High blood pressure, which i am on meds now
2. High cholesterol
3. High sugars, which he told me I was borderline diabetic (no meds yet)

The doc, told me he wants me to change my diet. No more sweets which I have a bad habit of eating and no more red meat especially steak which is going to be hard as Hell because I love to grill steaks on Saturday night. I have to lower all these numbers by July when i go back to see him again right before vacation this year. So, I to tighten things up in my life and get better. More exercise. diet changes and hopefully I won't have to take meds for these conditions as well. If i do not change, meds will be on the order in July.

Now, I have one more doctor to see on Monday and this is the one that i am dreading to go and see. The urologist. I know he is going to run blood work and check my PT and PTT and Alpha-fetoprotein which uses markers in the blood for the type of cancer I had 16 years ago. I also know he is going to check for colon rectal cancer and prostrate cancer as well. So, if I can get through all of these tests and nothing comes back bad, I will be alot happier than what i am now. I guess the waiting game is the hard part and I do remember all to well what it was like going through cancer and all the chemo treatments I went through.

Well the middle of the week already! WOW! This week is flying by really fast. Been real busy so far this morning but I have a few minutes and wanted to keep you updated as to my medical issues at hand.

I received a phone call from my Dr. yesterday afternoon and he wants to see me and talk about a couple of issues with my lab tests of my blood. So now as you can imagine, my mind starts to wonder in all directions as to what those two things could be. One is probably my cholesterol levels, but the other one I am not sure. I hope and pray it is not my PSA test results which those have to deal with colon stuff and that could mean a colonoscopy which I do not want to do. So we will see this afternoon at 4pm with him. I also have an appointment for next Monday afternoon at 1:30pm to see a Urologist. So, other than that, things are OK.

I have really started to get into doing photomanipulations. I am having alot of fun with doing these. They are so cool to make and they can really have a deep meaning too. So, stay tuned, I will be making more very soon. I have a really cool idea and now I just have to find the right photos to use in this piece.
